I sat looking at today’s passage. I had a very busy day, I struggled with a migraine. It was just a hard day. It created the perfect atmosphere for the enemy to swoop in and steal my peace. I reread today’s passage as I reflected on this..
The key is “whose mind is stayed on thee.” I had allowed my circumstance to move my mind off of my Father. I was moved by the current situation that I found myself in. The enemy is a slick one. He waits and watches for us to let down our guard and then he pounces.
We must train our minds to stay on our Father. We must especially keep our focus on Him during the difficult times, during those times that are just hard. Our peace comes through Jesus and His work on the cross. We are no longer bound by the things of this world, including the attacks from the enemy. Going into this new year, I have a renewed focus.
