Sarah did not believe God could give her a child because of her age. She laughed in unbelief. In today’s passage we find God, as always, is true to His word in giving the baby He had promised. Now she says God had made her to laugh so that all that hear will laugh with her.
As I read today’s passage I thought of my picture below. My laughter flowed freely at a Woman’s Retreat where I knew only one other woman. We all had the same spirit. I look through the pictures from that trip and my heart smiles as I remember the love and laughter of each one.
My laughing turned to tears as I said Poppa, I miss her. At times, I feel too far gone to ever make it back. Oh, but my loving Father. He didn’t condemn life choices. He didn’t slap my hands. I’d done that all on my own. No, He said I’m giving you your joy back; a place where laughter comes freely, effortlessly. Perhaps you too are sitting in a similar place. Look up child of God. He is not through with you yet and it’s time for your lighter, your joy to be restored. 🦅 ~ Prophetess Michelle, #f8ithgal, #Joy
