I will find feathers throughout my house randomly in places that make no sense (no feather pillows, blankets, etc.). I had started keeping them but lost most of them in the last move or two. I still have several that I keep on my desk. Last week while working, I noticed they were arranged differently and reminded me of angel wings. Now I won’t speculate as to how that happened, but it brought Psalm 91:11 to my mind.
Ever since I can remember, my mom has prayed the angels around her children. She prays them around our vehicle when we travel. She has always had the angels watching over us. God has too! This weekend’s passage reminds us of that. The devil has literally tried to take me out since I was in the second grade and almost died of a blood disease. But God. I almost bled to death several years ago and the Dr.’s could not figure our where the bleeding was coming from. I woke one day while still in the hospital and there was a huge angel outside of my window. God told me I had work yet to do and the bleeding just stopped. I saw angels come to my aid during an attack from the an enemy after I had called for their help. In the same home, I saw the largest angel I’d ever seen. Pastors and Prophets have said they see angels all around me.
It might sound crazy to a nonbeliever, but angels are real. Hebrews 13:2 tells us, “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” They are everywhere. I am thankful that God gives us the power to command them into our days to protect us and when we command our mornings. I recently fell hard. I have no doubt an angel was watching over me because I’m still here. I recently found the prettiest small, perfectly formed feather on my dresser. I looked around and then looked up. I left it where it lay, it was right where I had fallen.
God has planned every thing in our lives right down to the littlest detail. He knows the number of hairs on our heads, do you really think He cannot send angels to watch over us? Of course He can.
