Today was a day of rest for me. I got up to put laundry away and post this weekend’s Nourishment Scripture. Before I even had time to ask the Lord, I heard “This is the day the Lord has made”. Well okay Poppa!I began to reflect on that Scripture. The predictions for this snow storm were huge. 8-12 inches with a half an inch of ice. We actually got 2-3 inches. It is snowing again now, but turning to ice by 8. We have not lost power at all.
I was a little frustrated that I had spent too much money preparing for this storm so that we would have heat and stuff to use the grill should we lose power (and of course food). But God reminded me He had given me the means to prepare and He would replace the money I used to do it (it was money needed in other areas). We are warm today and still prepared for any storm that hits.
It made me think of the storms of life that hit out of nowhere. God still provides and carries us through. This is the day which the Lord hath made and I am so thankful for it. I am rejoicing and I am glad in it! I am thankful that I can rely on God to meet my needs. We serve a God that gave His only son for our sins. Is there anything too hard for Him?!
