Life can be overwhelming at times. Anyone who tells you they have it together all the time is lying. Life throws you unexpected curves. I experienced a few of those today’s, like the co-pay on my medicine being $60 that I didn’t budget for or my excel template looking nothing like the one I had used in training when I opened it. My day drew to an end with a pounding headache and me just on the verge of tears. Poppa, I feel defeated. I still have my night reading to do, a blog to write, and a blinding headache coming on. I had wrapped up my evening study last night and I was praying and looking through my Bible app for my next one. Faith, my Poppa whispered, you need to study faith. My migraine, in part, came from me reviewing the bills out of my next check and worrying if there would be enough. Just after doing that my brother called from the pharmacy to tell me how much my medicine was. Fear tried to grab me, but my Father kept whispering faith. Where is your faith daughter?
I found a devotional on faith and began to read. One of the Scriptures really resonated through my spirit, “Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights.” Psalms 148:1 I turned my praise music up and felt my spirit begin to lift. There is nothing too hard for God. The devotional Faith over Faith by Lisa Stilwell said, “Our weak faith applied to a strong Christ equals victory in all circumstances.” I love that! I thought someone else might need that encouragement tonight too. Our Father knows we are human and our faith will sometimes waiver, but we have a strong Christ lifting us up. We are a work in progress. During those times when you catch it wavering, draw closer to Him. Turn up that praise music, fall back on His Word, and pray. Your faith in Christ will grow stronger with each trial you face and He will be there with you every step of the way. 💛 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
“1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise ye the LORD from the heavens: praise him in the heights. 2 Praise ye him, all his angels: praise ye him, all his hosts. 3 Praise ye him, sun and moon: praise him, all ye stars of light. 4 Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that [be] above the heavens. 5 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for he commanded, and they were created. 6 He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass. 7 Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps: 8 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapour; stormy wind fulfilling his word: 9 Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars: 10 Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl: 11 Kings of the earth, and all people; princes, and all judges of the earth: 12 Both young men, and maidens; old men, and children: 13 Let them praise the name of the LORD: for his name alone is excellent; his glory [is] above the earth and heaven. 14 He also exalteth the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints; [even] of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Praise ye the LORD.” ~ Psalms 148:1-14
