Boy it was like a one, two punch tonight from the Holy Spirit as I read James 1:3-4, “3 Knowing [this], that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have [her] perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” Patience is not my strongest area and the Lord has had faith in my spirit since I left the airport worried about my suitcase being overweight. #truth I smiled, I’m listening Poppa. I love it when He speaks to us through His Word!
As I was looking for a picture for this Scripture, I remembered the day I was watching the waters waiting and expecting to see a manatee. I had prayed for it, one was sure to visit. The Lord didn’t just usher in just one, but several. The water sparkled as I watched, seeing them in person for the first time. I had used patience watching for them and faith believing the Lord would bless me to see them. So often I get in a hurry to get to the place I want to be and right now God is saying be patient and trust in my timing. When your bank account looks low, trust Me to be your source. When things feel cramped, trust Me for the space that is in the way. Things aren’t always what they seem, trust Me for the things I’ve promised. Are you believing God for more? Has He promised you something, but your human eyes just can’t see it? Ask Him to reveal it through your spiritual eyes. Our timing isn’t like God’s. Faith is going to be required and that will produce patience. Verse 4 says, “But let patience have [her] perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” It’s worth the wait! 💛 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
