The world was shocked to hear of the untimely loss of Kobe Bryant and his young daughter Gianna. It made me think of how fragile life really is. It’s not just a sickness, prolonged or sudden, that takes our family and friends; it is those unexpected accidents that rob us unexpectedly. A void is left that causes the heart to ache that only the Holy Spirit Himself can comfort.
Everyday I see people push the limits of our earthly body as if it were made to last forever with the assumption they will wake up tomorrow to do it all over again. Tomorrow they will do better for themselves emotionally, physically, spiritually… if they can just get through today, tomorrow they will do better. This grieves my heart in such a profound way because we aren’t promised tomorrow. “15 [As for] man, his days [are] as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. 16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.” Psalms 103:15-16 What if there is no tomorrow? We need to do better with each minute of today.
I started to end this here, but I couldn’t. If God is calling you in any way for any thing… you really need to answer that call today. If He’s pressing your heart for something, listen to His leading. Whatever it is, He has a purpose for your life. Allow Him to guide you. Don’t be afraid to take that step, He will supply whatever He calls you to do. I feel that in my spirit. Don’t let life pass you by, you are called for a purpose! 💛 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
