Peace in the Storm

Pulsating pain behind my right eye, I didn’t think I was going to make it through the work today. Two doses of OTC meds, one dose of emergency meds, a whole lot of prayers and I struggled through. The migraines have improved dramatically but today’s was bad. I am still struggling this evening, but we are 30 days into the new year and my bite sized goal this month was two blogs a day (along with a morning and evening reading/devotional) so here we are. I am not missing one post (or reading) this far in!

I had to smile as I started my new evening devotional, “Peace, Life In The Spirit” by Charles Oswald. The Scripture reading was John 16:33, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” My spirit had been so discouraged the last two nights reading through Facebook and now it is revived hearing Jesus say, “good cheer; I have overcome the world.” What are are you facing? You may feel like the winds of trouble are swirling all around you, but Jesus is your peace in the middle of it. Claim that peace, don’t you let go of it. Any problem you could possibly encounter, Jesus has already worked it out for you. Tell that storm peace be still and rest in His presence. 💛 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal

  1. Thank you Chelle! I also find FB has a darker side and I’m glad to be busy enough that I don’t go there as often. Only our God is Good, All The Time!
