Names of God: Jehovah-Mekaddishkem

Jehovah-Mekaddishkem is The Lord Who Sanctifies You. I love how Tony Evans explains this name of God in The Power of God’s Names, “This name of God infuses power into our lives when we receive by faith everything He seeks to do in and through us. It signifies an action done to us—God’s action of sanctifying us.” We are called to be set apart, not to be like everyone else. We are Kingdom Kids with Kingdom purpose, Kingdom driven. Sanctify is to be set apart as or declare holy; consecrate. We are to live in the world but not be of it. You can’t fake sanctification. Its not a surface Sunday jump up and praise the Lord, it starts deep in the spirit. God works from the inside out not the outside in, so don’t be so quick to judge that person next to you. They may be further along than that brother you see on the front row every Sunday with a secret life every Friday. We hear a lot the phrase, saved sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost. That phrase has a deeper meaning when you understand Jehovah-Mekaddishkem. It’s okay if you if you are not there yet, our Father longs to have that connection with you. All you have to do is seek Him, He’s waiting. 💛 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
