The magnitude of this verse is heart wrenching. Jesus was oppressed and afflicted for us. This verse says, “he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.” He willingly allowed them to lead Him to the cross to be slaughtered so that me and you could have eternal life in Him. That picture just overwhelms me this morning. His blood set us free from sin and all of the worldly bondage that the devil tries so hard to tie us to. John 8:36 tells us, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” Go forward today walking in that freedom. 💛 ~Chelle, #f8ithgal
