Nourishment for Your Soul and Mind: November 22, 2020

I sat and thought on these verses for awhile this morning. There was a great storm. Jesus was sleeping through it. The disciples had the Master on the boat, sleeping peacefully. This storm was raging around them and verse 38 says they woke Him and not only woke up, but woke Him saying, “Master, carest thou not that we perish?” We see from today’s verses His response, He rebuked the wind and calmed the seas and ask why they were fearful and where their faith was. Jesus is in our boat. We carry Him everywhere we go, but how many times have we ask where are You Lord? The storms are overtaking me and I can’t see You Lord… Just like with the disciples, He is right there. I’m finding in this season He is teaching me to say peace be still in the storm and then to retreat within Him. Sometimes, I am the one who needs to be still and just lean into Him. Sometimes the rains still pour around me and just lull me to sleep while I know my Father is working on my behalf. 💛 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal

“{39} And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. {40} And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?” ~ Mark 4:39-40

  1. In today’s world, I feel like those fishermen nearly every day, at some point! Then I remind myself that Jesus is in my boat and all is well❣️. He is So Good, all the Time❣️
