Nourishment for Your Soul and Mind: November 26, 2020

This verse just really touched my heart this morning. I was thinking I should post a “thankful” verse for Thanksgiving, but as I read this verse it just continued to speak to my heart. This verse says Jesus was moved “with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd…” He was moved toward compassion toward them. We are living in a time where we need more of that. He began to teach them, He didn’t condemn them for the place they were in. He began to teach them. I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty thankful for that in my life. I am so thankful He poured out His compassion over me and I’m so thankful He continues to teach me daily! I am so far from perfect, but I’m teachable. I’m moldable. He is my potter and I’m the clay being molded into the woman of God He wants me to be. This verse suddenly became a verse all about Thanksgiving to me. We are no longer sheep without a shepherd. He is our Shepherd, if only you allow Him to lead you! Happy Thanksgiving y’all. 💛 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal

“And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.” ~ Mark 6:34
