Life throws you some deep waters and hot flames. This verse doesn’t sugar coat it and tell you those times won’t exist, but it does tell you the waters won’t overflow (or overtake you ) and the fires aren’t going to burn (or consume) you. When you are a child of God, you walk with favor. You walk with His hand resting upon you. The waters may get deep and the flames may get hot, but your Father is still in control and these are merely opportunities to build your faith. What you see with the physical eye isn’t a reflection of what is going on in the spiritual realm. Don’t lose heart and don’t give up. Press on and press in, your Poppa’s got you.
