I looked at this verse and thought about all the times my heart has cried out to to my Poppa in complete brokenness and never once has He turned me away. No, He pulls me under His wings, shows me where I went wrong, and begins mending the heart and spirit that He alone can mend. I looked up contrite and it means “feeling or expressing remorse or penitence; affected by guilt.” When we come to our Father in sincerity He doesn’t condemn, He doesn’t turn us away. He welcomes us back with open arms AND He shows us how we veered off the path so we won’t make that mistake again. What love our Father has for us, what love! 💛 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
“The sacrifices of God [are] a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.” ~ Psalm 51:17
