I certainly needed this reminder with tears streaming down my cheeks (as usual). I needed reminded that my Father’s ways and thoughts are higher than mine so His plans for me are higher than I can imagine. So when these flames get too hot, when I feel like I’m burning all alone, I heard Him say I’m refining you daughter. It’s a process you can’t escape, but it’s one I won’t leave you alone through. You are not standing in the fire by yourself, I’m with you. I’m teaching you my ways, my thoughts. For that to come to pass old ways and old thoughts have to burn off. They have to die to self, but new life springs forth. Trust Me, trust the process. You’re not alone, you’re learning to depend on me. Wow, that was an on-time word for me, but perhaps you needed it to. The refining process isn’t easy. The burning is painful, the closing circles are lonely, but God sees the end result and He’s making us into who we were meant to be all along!
