What hope and strength there is in this verse. It says “The Lord upholdeth all that fall.” I looked up “upholdeth” and it is “to support; to sustain; to keep from falling or slipping.” It goes on to say that He, “raiseth up all those that be bowed down.” God already knew we would fall because we are human, but He picks us up when we bow down in forgiveness. He then gives us sustaining support so that we don’t fall again. As we continue to walk closely to Him and listen to His voice, He keeps us from slipping or falling again.
