Nourishment for Your Soul and Mind: November 22, 2021

A yoke is “a wooden crosspiece that is fastened over the necks of two animals and attached to the plow or cart that they are to pull.” Jennifer Eivaz posted this verse last week as a prayer over us. My heart smiled as I read it again this morning and heard my Poppa say daughter I’m breaking the yoke of those burdens you’ve been carrying, those burdens that weren’t yours to carry. Our journey with the Lord is a progressive one and if it’s not there is a problem. We should always be learning, always being growing. There are somethings I should get the first time around, but my loving Poppa is ever so patient and the Holy Spirit keeps teaching until I I get it, like laying my burdens down and leaving them there! But ohhh when that yoke breaks, it is broken! What a mighty God we serve. 💛 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal

“For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian.” ~ Isaiah 9:4
