“…for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” The Pharisees questioned those Jesus sat and ate with, but He was clear it was those very people that He came to save. He was with the ones that needed Him most. We must be careful that we do not sit so far above the very people Jesus sent us to help. We are to be an illuminating light to a dying world, not a blinding light that turns people away. His light should shine through us, drawing others to Him. There should not be a worldly light that pushes others away coming from us. The light of Christ glows, shines and invites others into a life of freedom through Him. What kind of light are you shining today? 💛 ~Chelle, #f8ithgal
“11 And when the Pharisees saw [it], they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners? 12 But when Jesus heard [that], he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. 13 But go ye and learn what [that] meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” ~ Matthew 9:11-13
