What is coming out of your mouth? What are you speaking over yourself, even in jest? It matters! God’s Word says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue..” So many times we say things without even realizing the impact our words carry in the spirit realm. The verse goes on to say, “they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Your words impact your life, they form your destiny, literally they can have life and death dripping in what we speak. What are you claiming? Are you claiming that bad report from the Dr.? Are you claiming that nagging condition you can’t shake? Come on someone, I’m speaking to myself as much as I am to the ones reading this. The Lord started showing me this with the migraines I was having, I referred to them as “my” migraines and the Holy Spirit began to convict me, those aren’t yours! The devil is a liar. Those migraines aren’t mine and I’m not claiming them. Something seemingly small is huge in the kingdom of darkness. What are we laying claim to and not even realizing it with our mouth? Ask your Father to show these things. Start being careful with what you speak and intentional with what flows from your mouth. James 3:11 says, “Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet and bitter?” Let your words be sweet, life. Words of power for you and everyone you meet.
