Nourishment for Your Soul and Mind: June 19, 2022

I was skimming through the Bible Books for a verse for today and had intended on headed to the Psalms, but the Lord stopped me in the book of Malachi. I was on chapter 3 before I realized it! Verse 1, “… and he prepare the way before me…” always stirs my heart, but when I got to verse 5 the Lord stopped me. I began to reflect on the very days in which we lived and how they mirror the time in which this Minor Prophet must have lived. Sure the crime may be different, but the sin is the same. Verse 6 says, “For I am the Lord, I change not…” The Lord is never changing. The heart of man is wicked and vile without God in it. You can see this by looking around at the world and the condition it is in. God didn’t do it, the heart of man without God did it. The mass shootings, corruption, suicide, this is a nation without God and under control of darkness. Repenting and turning to Him is the only answer. The enemy would never want us to see this so he paints guns as the problems. He paints the alternate political party as the issue. My friends, it’s a heart issue caused by sin. Turning to Jesus is the only answer. Our days in this earth are numbered and we will stand before the judgment seat of Christ. That judgement will be swift and on that day there will be no mercy given. You will either be covered by the blood of Jesus or He will say depart, I never knew you. Don’t put it off one more day, Jesus is calling the lost to salvation today, won’t you answer His call? It’s all so easy to ask Him to forgive you and repent of your sins and I promise your life will never be the same! Won’t you answer that call today? And if your are that prodigal son or daughter who lost their way, He’s calling you home. He has a place for you in His Kingdom and in this battle against evil on earth. Repent today and make things right. Can you hear Him? Answer that call. I know there are many reading this that feel that nudge. He has a special purpose for you, yes, you. All you have to do is answer that nudge! 💛 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal

“And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the Lord of hosts.” ~ Malachi 3:5
