I recently read on FB that the positioning of “In God We Trust” had changed on the quarter this year. Many saw this as insignificant, but I was troubled in my spirit. I got two quarters out and confirmed it was so. Lord! I prayed and He said at one time this country had put Him first and He walked before us. We have now moved Him to the back. Oh how my heart grieved in that moment. This wasn’t merely a change in direction, it is a prophetical sign of the time and the direction our country is headed. We expect so much from God when we need Him, we cry out to Him when we are sick or someone is dying. We come to Him when our bills are behind or we there is something pressing that we need. Most do not seek Him daily before the cut takes place, we just expect Him to stop the bleed. The things of God aren’t placed with any importance, we make laws saying various sins are legal. It’s a heart matter. Being right in the eyes of man does not by any means make it right with God. We’ve placed God behind us, just as we have on the coin. I don’t know who made the decision to change it or their reasoning behind it, but I heard God say we moved Him to the back. That should grieve the very heart of every person in this country, especially the very heart of every child of God. Look at the state we are in. The hand of God causes us to prosper, without it we simply won’t. Things can’t get better when God is behind us ask to clean up our mess. He is a God that is to go before us, but we have to place Him in a position to do so. Where are you placing God in your life? It matters.
