Whew, I sure feel today’s passage! “For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward [man] is renewed day by day.” Such an on-time word for me! As verse 17 goes on to say this light affliction will only last for a moment. A moment in our eyes is so different in that of God’s. My heart smiles as I continue to look on the things that are not seen during my days of being sick, as I dream dreams and draw closer to my Father, renewing my mind daily. More of Him and less of me. 💛 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
“16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward [man] is renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding [and] eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen [are] temporal; but the things which are not seen [are] eternal.” ~ 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
