We are so blessed to be children of the most high God. It’s so easy to get distracted by the things that tend to weigh us down and that’s the devils intent, but today’s passage encourages us to be diligent in this race. As I read it and studied for this post, I heard eyes straight forward. There’s no looking back daughter, eyes straight forward. The enemy is so good at trying to distract and taking your eyes off of where God has us going. He’s good at overwhelming us and discouraging us, but God is not the author of confusion and He will not take you where He cannot provide for you. Jesus washed away the shame, the doubt, anything negative the enemy is trying to put on you… Jesus has already washed it away. I’m here to tell you he is a liar and don’t except those thoughts he’s placing in your head. If it doesn’t produce joy when it comes into your mind, if it doesn’t produce a set plan to prosper your future in line with the will of God, cast thought out and replace it with a decree from the Word of God! Lay aside the sins and even thoughts that can lead to sins that so easily beset us and let us run with patience, shed that weight sisters and brothers. The enemy is putting weight on your shoulders that’s isn’t yours to carry!!! Cast it at your Father’s feet right now and run the race so much lighter. Jesus already endured it at the cross, it’s not yours to carry. The enemy has lied to you, fooled you into carrying a package that isn’t yours to bear. It’s wearing you down, cut the ties, and run the race with patience. We have miles yet to go. Look to Jesus who IS the author and finisher of our faith! He IS at the right hand of the throne of God ready to lighten the burden from every weight and sin holding you down. He’s reaching out His hand to you, all you have to do is take it and call on His name. 💛 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
“1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset [us], and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” ~ Hebrews 12:1-2
