I was praying this morning and the Holy Ghost brought today’s passage to my memory. “When the enemy comes in like a flood [he’s rushing in on you, overwhelming you, and you can’t even get your breath], the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him [the wind driven by the very breath of God with overwhelm the enemy and drive him back]. We aren’t promised there won’t be battles, in fact we are told to put on our armor and prepare for them. But we are also given these golden scriptures that promise us our fight is not alone and that when it is too intense God Himself shall lift up a standard against the enemy. When you walk with the Lord closely, the battles will surely follow. The enemy fears what the Lord is instilling in you, but Jesus has already won and these battles are just to try to weigh you down and wear you out. Warrior son and daughter, you are more than a conqueror through Christ. If you’ve fallen, get back up. If your weary, rest. But don’t you even think about quitting, the battle isn’t yours; it belongs to our Father and He will sustain you through it. Be encouraged today. If the enemy is fighting you, it’s because you have something special within you and you’ve been chose for such a time as this. We’ve got Kingdom work to do.
