The Lord has been speaking to me a lot about light lately. He is a light to the world and when we have Him we no longer wish to follow the darkness of the world. Some thing in us changes. Our taste in music starts to change, we don’t even want to watch the same shows and movies we used to. Anything that draws out darkness has to go. The spirit within us literally becomes vexed by darkness. It isn’t trying to be better than someone else, it is Holy living. Your spirit starts to recognize the things of God and the things of darkness. The closer you draw to God the more He will reveal to you the things that need to go. His light will start to shine through you for others to see. I will hear certain songs being played and I’ll say, oh no. Please you have to turn that off or put ear phones on, I don’t want that in my spirit! It’s a battlefield y’all! The enemy will sneak in wherever and whenever he can. We must protect our ear gates and eye gates! If you find yourself still listening to the same music, watching the same dark movies, I would like to encourage you to do a heart check with God. Today’s verse says those who follow Jesus do not follow darkness. You may say sis, it’s just entertainment. That entertainment is a gateway to darkness. Pray about it and ask God to remove any blinders and help you see any darkness that needs to be removed. I am a work in progress and still praying for Him to help me remove any hidden darkness from my life. The enemy is sneaky! We have to attack back with precision! 🔥 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
