El Simchath Gili is “God My Exceeding Joy.” We are guaranteed to have difficulties in this life, but when you have the joy of the Lord He can fill you with peace during those times. When you have His Joy in your heart, you can smile through the pain. It won’t stop the pain, but it soothes it because you can be certain your Father is working for you. His joy doesn’t mean things are perfect, it means God is working things out in a perfect way for you and to His glory.
