I felt today’s verse deep in my spirit as I read it. I have been going through some heavy things. Today I was overwhelmed with a migraine and slept on and off the entire day. As I meditated on this verse, I could hear my loving Father say not by YOUR might, not by YOUR power, but by MY Spirit. Too often I try to do every single thing myself and the reality is I can’t. I try to take on every issue, every problem, every bill and my shoulders were not created for such a burden. Give it to Me daughter for I care for you saith the Lord of Hosts. What are you carrying that is not yours to carry? What is overwhelming you and keeping you up at night? What is making you sick because you have lamented over it too long and it is completely out of your hands? Drop it at Your Father’s feet and leave it there. His shoulders were made for what we can’t carry. His love is there to comfort us for what keeps us up at night. And His promise assures us an expected end that is in our favor and to His glory.
