The Names of God: Abba

Abba is “Father” and it is one of my favorite names. The name reflects an intimate relationship with our Father. “It was used by both Jesus and Peter to address God in a relation to personal intimacy.” (dictionary.com) I find myself crying out to our Abba Father in my prayers. I can feel the intimacy of this name during my one on one time with Him. When we use it, we are addressing God in a close and personal way. He is not just a God in Heaven that we pray to when we need something. He is Abba, “Father” who gave His only son for our sins so that we could have that close and personal relationship with Him. Oh what love He has for His children. 🦅 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal

“For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.” | Romans 8:15
