Nourishment for Your Spirit and Soul: September 9, 2025

How many of us can say we glory in our infirmities? Let’s be honest, we are usually praying for God to take those things away. It is a normal reaction for our human side to want them gone. The Apostle Paul ask for the “thorn” in His side to be removed 3 times but it remained “lest I should be exalted above measure.” (2 Corinthians 12:7) In Matthew 26:29, Jesus prays, “And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.” Jesus had to die to save us sinners. It was through His blood that we are redeemed and set free. He prays not as I will, but thou wilt!

What is the “thorn” in your side? Examine it closely. God may have allowed it to stay for a reason. It could be to humble you or it could be something associated with your calling that you need to endure. God is perfect in all of His ways. If He allows something, there is a reason behind it. Seek Him daily, listen for His still small voice, He will show you why that thing remains. He will fill you with wisdom on how to handle it, if it is to stay or if it needs to go. Lean into Him child of God, lean in. 🦅 ~ Prophetess Michelle, #f8ithgal, #Joy

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” ~ 2 Corinthians 12:9
