Nourishment for Your Soul and Mind: February 6, 2022

Be still, and know I am God. Sometimes we need to quiet our hearts and just be still and take comfort in knowing God is God. The second verse to this often quoted verse reminds that God is not only with us, He is our refuge. A refuge is “a condition of being safe or sheltered from pursuit, danger, or trouble; something providing shelter.” God IS or refuge! This Scripture is very clear on that. That verse made me smile with tears welling up in my eyes at the same time. I don’t know about you, but I’ve needed a refuge lately. We don’t have to seek another place, no need to spend money, we only need to look up to our Father. He is the refuge our heart seeks. If you feel like the world is caving in on you and don’t know what way to turn, quiet your heart and seek refuge in the One who made heaven and earth. He will shield you from the storms hitting you and give you the respite you seek. 💛 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal

“10 Be still, and know that I [am] God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. 11 The LORD of hosts [is] with us; the God of Jacob [is] our refuge. Selah.” ~ Psalms 46:10-11
