The Lord had me looking at word Scriptures this morning. Word curses. Did you know you could curse yourself with the very words you speak? The devil really is a sly one isn’t he? One of the things that stood out in my deliverance class is the enemy likes to talk to you in the first person, he wants you to perceive the thoughts are coming from you. You will start speaking things over yourself without even realizing it and before you know it what you have spoken has become a part of your identity: “I’m ugly”; “I’m too fat”; “I can’t do anything right”; “I will never find anyone.”; “I’ll never be good enough”; “I’ll always be sick”. Whatever it is, you curse yourself with it, without even realizing what you are saying. James 3:10 says, “Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.” The enemy has conditioned us to do it without even thinking. Those thoughts have to be manually reprogrammed, with the help of God, to be reversed. Think as we speak and as those thoughts start to come out of our mouth stop them and filter them with the grace of Jesus. I have gained weight, but it is coming off with the help of Jesus. I am not ugly because I am made in God’s image. I am going to be 10 pounds lighter this time next month because Jesus will give me the strength to lose it! This may look hard, but I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me! There is a Scripture for every single opposition, find it and use it to counter the word curse coming out of your mouth! Wash your words clean. Break any curse by repenting and asking for forgiveness, renouncing it, and rebuilding with positive words that speak life into and bless your situation! Don’t get discouraged. You didn’t build these overnight and it will be a process of deliverance to clear them away but God is your strength and He will start showing them to you if you start asking Him to. Once they start being released from your life you will feel the weight release too. Those words, they truly matter. Speak life in every word you speak! 💛 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
