I have really did a lot of thinking over today’s passage. We are to be the light in a world full of a darkness, a darkness that once consumed us. I thought on this as I drifted off and had a terrible dream. In that dream, the Lord showed me unforgiveness I had in my heart towards someone in the world who has ill will towards me. Someone who wishes to destroy me and parts of my life that I hold dear to me. Not only unforgiveness, but fear. My loving Father was using this passage to show me I needed to let it go because I too was once from the world and I needed to put her in His hands and be gentle and kind snd show His love towards her always. Poppa, she wants to destroy me and … she can’t destroy what I have ordained child. You shower My love and leave the rest to Me. There are times we have to love with the love of Jesus even when the people we are loving are plotting against us. Jesus broke bread with the one who would turn Him over to be crucified so that we all could live through His blood. Allow that to sink in. We weren’t always filled with the shining light of our Savior, we were saved by His grace and His light now shines through us. Be the light even when it hurts. Be the light even when they reject you. Let the light of Jesus shine through you and allow anything that is not His light go. You are in the world but not of the world. Believe me when I say the world is watching the light in you even when you think they aren’t, you are dropping seeds that other lights may grow. Don’t allow any darkness to pull you backwards with hurt and pain, be the light that pulls them towards Jesus when you rise above what is thrown at you. The Holy Spirit will help you do this. His light shines from within you so bright it cannot be contained! 💛 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
“1 Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, 2 To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, [but] gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men. 3 For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, [and] hating one another.” ~ Titus 3:1-3
