Nourishment for Your Soul and Mind: September 3, 2022

I was studying the Book of Luke for a class assignment and today’s verse just hit my spirit. This verse says Jesus came to SEEK and save the lost. He wasn’t trying to avoid them or run from them. He came to seek them out and save their souls. We are to be like Jesus. The Church is to be a place the lost can come and find Jesus, not a place to come and be condemned for not knowing Him or not dressing a certain way, looking a certain way, or even living a certain way. Jesus cleans from the inside out, it’s not the other way around. A lot of people are pushed away from the church when they need to be loved by the church. No, we don’t love the sin. We love the person with the love of Jesus, we teach them His Word and yes, we teach that Holiness is still right, but we also teach them forgiveness, repentance, and love. We let the Holy Spirit lead them; and when we teach or preach we do it by the unction of the Holy Spirit and not the flesh of man. It is then that He grabs the heart of man. What are we seeking? We need to seek the things that Jesus did. Souls depend on it. 💛 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal

“For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” ~ Luke 19:10
