I’ve thought a lot on these verses this evening. What is on our mind matters, what filters into our conscience is critical and the renewing of our mind daily is essential. The enemy is out to defile our thoughts and those thoughts spread and before you know it unbelief and doubt are setting in. I’ve been watching the purity of people who profess to be sons and daughters of Christ start to cloud as discouragement starts to set in, I see am almost evil presence taking over on some of their pages as they plunge deeper into depression and further from our Father. The enemy seeks to creep on in any way he can, by any means. The renewing of the mind isn’t a choice it’s a necessity. I know myself the areas he tries to attack me in and I have to me extra prayed up in those areas. The enemy isn’t new in his efforts, he hits our weaknesses. But God! He gives us the strength to overcome when we bring it to Him and not try to go it alone! We have to recognize the enemies tactics and use the Word of God to cast them out and overcome. I know pure thoughts are from my Poppa so when thoughts that are harmful to me enter, I know they are from the father of lies and I know not to entertain them but stand on God’s Word and decree it out loud and send the devil on his way! Are you renewing your mind? Is what your professing matching with what your walking? Do a heart check today. Stop giving the devil space and kick him out.
