The Lord led me to Romans this morning when I was praying for a passage for today’s Nourishment post. I read through chapter 6 several times as the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart. Our old man has been crucified with Christ and freed from the bondage of sin and the things that once weighed us down. We are washed clean through the blood of Christ and now have victory over sin. When the devil comes knocking we have authority to shut him down. Many believers do not walk in that authority and it’s necessary over the things of this world. He’s going to tempt you, he’s going to come against you, but you have power and authority from Jesus to stand against him. He tempted Jesus on the Mount and Jesus used the Word to battle against Him. The enemy is skilled at twisting God’s Word so you need the wisdom of the Holy Spirit for this battle and you need to be renewing your mind daily. We must me prayed up and read up, never letting our guard down. We are freed from sin and never to go back into it, a daily walk with the Holy Spirit prevents us from falling prey to the enemy’s cunning devices. He’s constantly seeking to devour the children of God, if he can’t do that he will try to distract us from God’s plan for our lives and His Kingdom. Renew your minds, meet with God daily, and destroy the enemy’s plans and any hold over your life and that of your family. Serious times call for serious prayers! 💛 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
