Nourishment for Your Soul and Mind: December 15, 2022

The Lord spoke to me as I read this passage. The enemy is often blaring in our ears and our head. He’s like the strong wind, the earthquake, and the fire. He’s trying to consume your attention with the noise of worry and stress. He’s loud and he will stop at nothing to steal your attention from our Father. But if you will take some time to quiet yourself from the clamor and listen, you will hear that still small voice. The enemy wants to keep you so busy, he wants to be so loud in your head that it drains out that still small voice. He wants to keep you from hearing God so that he can discourage you, cause division in families, and pull you away from where God wants you to be. He is a liar. In the middle of the winds of confusion, the earthquakes of disruption, and the fires trying to destroy your mind, stop and turn to your Father. If it takes praise music to clear your head turn it up, but then listen for that still small voice. It’s not going to condemn, destroy, or do any of those things the enemy is trying to do. He’s going to give you wisdom and key strategies to overcome your situation and the enemy. He will give you everything you need for the battle at hand as you draw on His strength and He will cover you in His love. We should all take time daily to listen for our Father’s voice. He longs to have conversations with us, not dialogues. When the enemy is clamoring, shut him down and call on the name of the Lord. Peace will surely follow. 🔥 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal

“11 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; [but] the LORD [was] not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; [but] the LORD [was] not in the earthquake: 12 And after the earthquake a fire; [but] the LORD [was] not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.” ~ 1 Kings 19:11-12
