I was watching the clouds yesterday when the Lord again reminded me “For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line, here a little, and there a little. I went back in and started to study out this passage. God was speaking about the Children of Israel who heard His word , but “yet they would hear not.” Had they listened to what they were hearing, it would have caused the weary to rest. Instead they heard one line at a time, one precept, they listened here a little and there a little causing them to fall backward and be broken, and snared, and taken. What a lesson for us to learn. Listen to the voice of God and study the Word given completely. And then don’t be someone who just studies the word, but someone that puts it into action. Be someone who follows it so that we don’t fall backwards as well. Don’t lose focus on one percept, one line. Listen to God for the full picture and act as He instructs. 🦅 ~ Chelle, #f8ithgal
“10 For precept [must be] upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, [and] there a little: 11 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. 12 To whom he said, This [is] the rest [wherewith] ye may cause the weary to rest; and this [is] the refreshing: yet they would not hear. 13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, [and] there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.” ~ Isaiah 28:10-13

Wow this is so true . We need to study more and do HIS word.
